About Our Church

How it all started

The Christ Lampstand Church International (CLCI), a Pentecostal and Charismatic Church, was founded by Apostle Delight Evans McDaddy.

Officially inaugurated on January 11, 2009, with eight members, it evolved from the Christ Gospel Campaign, initially focusing on evangelism. The campaign started in February 2007, emphasizing hospitals and one-on-one soul-winning.

Lacking a dedicated place (church), CLCI was established in 2009. Early meetings were in living rooms, school parks, and private residences.

On January 18, 2009, we moved to rented land, using canopies for a year. By God’s grace, a structure was raised in 2010. In 2017, we acquired our own land for worship.

Hungering & Thirsting

“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

These words, spoken by Jesus nearly two thousand years ago, echo the heartbeat of our community. Like Jesus we recognize that people are thirsty: not in the sense of longing for ice cold water on a hot and sultry day, but in the need for quenching of a thirsty heart and soul.

Satisfaction in Jesus

All people, whether young or old, have thirsts in their hearts and souls. Life drains the hope, security, peace, love, contentment, and joy that all of us desire.

At Christ Lampstand Church we believe that Jesus fills empty hearts of those who trust in Him so that they are satisfied and overflow into the lives of others. That is why Christ Lampstand Church has been preaching, teaching and magnifying the person and work of Jesus Christ since 2009.

Our Mission Statement

Partnering with people to reach their God given potential as they connect with God become like Christ and influence their world.

Our Vision Statement

To become an equipping and mobilizing church that transforms our world for Jesus Christ.

Our Identity

1. UNITY – “There is one body and one spirit…there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all.” Ephesians 4:4

2. We love a little more – “If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can move mountains but have no love, I amount to nothing at all.” 1 Corinthians 13:2

3. Prayer and Fasting

4. Mission-Evangelism

5. Faith

6. Holiness

7. We create Leaders – We contend to never compromise the message of the gospel, yet we consistently seek to be creative in our methods. Having a passion for creativity and innovation allows us to understand that our mission is far more important than our methods. (Exodus 35:35; 1 Timothy 4:14-15; Ephesians 2:10)

8. We grow our people – Jesus accepts us just as we are, but He loves us too much to leave us that way! We work tirelessly to provide every person healthy discipleship opportunity to grow in their faith, relationships, wisdom, discipline, and leadership. (Colossians 1:9-10; Hebrews 6:1; 1 Peter 2:1-3)

9. We do everything with excellence – We are relentless about the details, and we operate with urgency because we know what is at stake. We strive for excellence in every area within our church. God does not expect perfection, and we will never be a perfect church, but He does expect excellence! (Colossians 3:23-24; Titus 2: 7-8; Ecclesiastes 9:10)

10. We are servant leaders – Jesus leveraged His power and His position as God’s Son to become a servant to even the most marginalized people that He encountered. If our goal is to become like Christ, then we must value serving the needs of others above ourselves. Becoming a servant leader requires us to remember that “It’s not about me”. (Mark 10:42-45; Philippians 2:3-8; John 13:12-17)

11. We steward with integrity – We know that everything we have comes from God, so we will not take Him or His people for granted. We live this out by the way we steward our time, our talents, and treasure. (1 Corinthians 4:1-2; 1 Peter 4:10; Malachi 3:10)

Our Mission

Reposing our faith wholly in the Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation, believing in the teachings and practices of the Apostles and in those great distinctive principles for which they have ever stood, namely:

1. To plunder hell and to populate heaven. We believe that hell is real and so is heaven and that the heavenly mandate from God is to stop men from going to hell and bringing them to the saving knowledge of Christ.

2. To take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the unsaved parts of this world. This is to be done by sending Christian missionaries to give aid to people of any tribe, of any race and of any nationality and planting churches among them.

3. To challenge Christians (both local and foreign) to realize their responsibility for the global evangelization and recognize their partnership with other Christians in the world to fulfill this task.

4. To train members to work in the field of social development to build up good family, society and nation

5. To share the Word of God to every pupil by using any media and any means.

6. To build a Bible Institute or College where persons will be trained for the work of the Ministry of Jesus Christ.

7. The complete independence of the local church and its interdependence in associated fellowship with other Bible-believing churches.

8. To develop a purpose driven life for God’s honor and glory.

9. To impact the city with the fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit and His fire for the revival of many who are backslidden, downhearted and to redeem their self-esteem

10. A worldwide program of missionary fervor and evangelism in obedience to the final command of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

PREACHING

One of our greatest passions and joys as a church is found in the preaching of God’s word. The apostle Paul told Titus that God has revealed his word through preaching (Titus 1:3). Likewise, Paul told the Corinthian believers that through God’s great wisdom he has chosen to save those who believe the gospel through the foolishness of preaching.

At Christ Lampstand Church we believe that preaching holds supreme importance in the life of a church. As such our pastors take time to explain what God’s word says and to proclaim what God’s word calls people to do each Sunday morning and Sunday evening.

TEACHING

Teaching ministry life brings plenty of challenges and struggles that lead to hard questions. At Christ Lampstand church we believe that the Bible has answers to those questions. To find the answers to those questions, we teach the Bible.

Our teaching ministry extends to all age groups. Everyone from little children to Adults are involved in Bible classes during Sunday school. On Wednesday evenings, we have training for the whole family.
